Buildco, the flagship company of the Bhartiya group in the real estate and infrastructure business, is going to launch Bhartiya City, a 125-acre integrated township in Bangalore, conceived along with global master planners and architects. The project spread will be a complete integrated township divided into eight precincts — residential, office space, IT, SEZ, retail, hotels, school and hospital. All the components will be organised within walking distance from each other. The project aims to provide the luxury of staying and experiencing the amenities of a township located in the country’s IT hub.

The project will have integrated urban life spaces of 20 million sq ft, covering commercial, residential, retail and hospitality, along with a school and hospital. Conforming to the need of preserving nature, the group is focusing on greenery around the township in a big way by setting up parks and greenery in and around the township. It will also feature jogging and walking tracks keeping in mind the welfare of the residents.

The masterplan has been formulated by the Perkins Eastman of NY and Cox Associates of Sydney and would offer world class infrastructure and amenities to the residents. The blueprint of Bhartiya City has been conceived on the principles of diversity, mobility, sustainability and community. The housing project envisions not selling by size but rather the functionality. The idea is to have inclusive rather than exclusive housing without compromising the quality.

Founder and chairman, Bhartiya group, Snehdeep Aggarwal, said, “We promote the concept of fashionable living, where design thinking holds the resident’s interest at its core, creating products and experiences that add value and happiness to the lives of people.” The project envisions an investment of upto Rs 6,000-7,000 crore over 10-12 year period.

The township will be located in Bangalore’s new growth corridor – between central business district and the international airport. “We will offer various office space products. We have an IT sez, which offers people to live and work within Bhartiya city. We are offering an alternate central business district to large corporates and banks in the traditional Bangalore office areas with mixed-use spaces around it. We will offer office space for live, work and play to people looking at combining living with working for example; designers studios, fashion designers,” he added.
